Few mini questions...help with chemistry homework?

The story as I heard it was that Kekule knew the moleclear formula was C6H6 but was sleepless with worry because he couldn'y imagine the bonding given the usual type of organic bonding.Tortured by the puzzle he fell asleep and had nightmares about long wriggling chains of atoms,then EUREKA one of these snakey molecules bit and held onto it's own tail; and the rest is history.
