Back pain...maybe growth spurt? please help?

i am 17 years of age,male, and am about 6 foot 2 and 180 pounds. The past couple of days my back has been killing me, i have never had any problems with my back whatsoever. this was just so random. It is all the way from the middle of my back to my shoulders. But the pain is more severe in the upper middle. I was just wondering if this could be the triggering of a growth spurt considering I have never had one. Ive always been a consistant grower. But Ive only grown an inch over the past 2 years. I also have a good deal of body hair and patchy facial hair. Can you give me your opinions if it is a growth spurt or what could cause it. thanks for answering.
